Helen’s passion in physiotherapy has been working with the senior population; she has a wide range of experience in both residential and community care.

 

Helen loves working closely with clients to help restore their level of function and improve quality of life. Helen also enjoys working alongside staff/families to promote safe manual handling practices. She has a thorough understanding of the aged care sector, and ACFI funding in residential care, coupled with extensive experience in training in manual handling.

 

Helen loves to travel, and would like to travel more now that her children are grown up. She also enjoys walking with her dogs, visiting wineries, pottering in the garden and being with her family and friends.

Virginia has worked in a number of different settings, but has spent the majority of the last 10 years working in the Community Health and Aged Care sector.

Virginia enjoys helping older clients manage their various health conditions. She loves the challenge of working with people (and their families) to help them achieve their goals and get the most out of life! Virginia is particularly passionate about keeping her clients in their own homes for as long as they desire.

 

Virginia juggles her work life with a dynamic home life – she has three daughters, a son and a step-son. When time permits, Virginia loves having a hit of tennis, cooking for family and friends, reading and keeping fit (alongside the adored family dog Molly).

Tara has worked diversely in her years as a physiotherapist, both here and in the UK. Tara has worked at The Royal Melbourne hospital where she gained valuable physiotherapy experience in acute care and neurological rehabilitation.

In addition to working in rehabilitation facilities across the UK, Tara has extensive experience in private practice here at home.

 

Tara has more recent experience in hydrotherapy and aqua rehabilitation helping clients optimise their functional capacities with the aid of a water-based rehabilitation environment.

 

Tara now balances the competing demands of Primary school aged children with her creative passions that include fashion and gourmet cooking.

In her “spare time” she plays taxi to three teenagers, enjoys music, and tries to keep fit through walking the dog, practicing yoga, pilates and karate.

More recently she has developed a passion for working with the senior population, both in residential care and with clients in their own homes. Zoe strongly believes in helping her clients maintain their strength, mobility, independence and thus, their quality of life.

 

In her spare time Zoe is a busy mum to three primary aged children and loves to keep fit and active. Zoe is a keen runner and also enjoys strength training and Pilates.

She has a keen interest in treating people in their homes. Her main focus is helping her clients regain their confidence and independence. In the near future Clara hopes to begin her PhD, studying people with Dementia.

 

Outside of work, Clara enjoys basketball & AFL, hiking, reading and spending time with her niece and nephew.

Jenny enjoys spending time with her children and grandchild, loves reading, travelling and recently has returned to swimming to maintain her fitness, both in the pool and open water.

Sue has extensive physiotherapy experience in a wide range of clinical settings. Originally trained in South Africa, she worked for many years in England and subsequently Australia across hospital and community settings.

 

The last ten years have seen Sue working primarily in aged care facilities and with the elderly in the community.

 

In her spare time Sue enjoys the outdoors, especially her beloved Dandenong Ranges where runs, walks and mountain bikes at every opportunity.

Meg worked for 4 years in a broad variety of physiotherapy positions in both the private and public healthcare systems, both in Gippsland and Melbourne.

Meg then moved to France where she was able to study further to obtain the French equivalent of a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. This allowed her to work in France. She worked in Toulouse in private practice and also in Aged Care between having children.

 

Meg is now permanently back in Melbourne where she grew up. Meg enjoys most things French and going for long walks with her family.

Jennifer is passionate about providing a holistic path to mazimising her client’s level of wellness.

 

In her free time Jennifer continues with advancing her studies in neuro kinetic therapy and traditional Chinese medicine. She is a keen gardener and bush walker and love to lose herself in the fictional world of Patricia Corwell, Henning Mankell and Lee Child.

Alison is an Occupational Therapist with more than 20 years’ experience, primarily in the community health sector. She has a particular interest in working with people with progressive neurological conditions, which formed through her time working in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation at Calvary Healthcare Bethlehem, the Kingston Centre and the MS Society (now MS Australia).

 

Alison is passionate about working collaboratively with her clients to achieve solutions that assist them to achieve their goals and which maximize independence, safety and wellbeing. She acknowledges and values the privilege of working with clients in their own homes or places of residence.

 

Alison is a SWEP credentialed prescriber for assistive technology and home modification assessment and prescription.

 

In her spare time, Alison is a sessional teacher and assessor for the Certificate IV Allied Health Assistance qualification and enjoys running and attending her local gym. She is also doubles as a taxi driver for her two teenage children.
